Mandate:
To secure Zogam and protect the lives, land, and liberty of the Zomi people.
Duties:
– Lead the Zomi Revolutionary Army – Eastern Command (ZRA-EC)
– Establish defense strategy and internal security
-Liaise with the ZNV (Zomi National Volunteers)
– Coordinate joint operations and defense policies

The Department of Defense exists to ensure the protection of civilians, territorial integrity of Zogam, and disciplined security governance during the interim period. It operates strictly under civilian authority and the Zogam Charter, preventing armed fragmentation and unauthorized use of force.
