On this Memorial Day, the Zomi Political Coordination Council (ZPCC) solemnly honors and remembers the brave sons and daughters of Zogam who sacrificed their lives for the protection, dignity, freedom, and future of the Zomi people.
Their courage and unwavering commitment to defend their homeland and people shall never be forgotten. In times of uncertainty, oppression, and conflict, they stood firm with conviction, choosing sacrifice over surrender, and service over self-interest. Their lives became a testimony of love for their people and devotion to the future generations of Zogam.
As it is written in the Holy Bible:
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Today, we pay tribute not only to the fallen heroes whose names are known, but also to the many whose sacrifices remain unseen by the world. Their blood, tears, and endurance have become part of the continuing history and identity of the Zomi nation.
The Zogam Charter affirms the rights, identity, and future of the Zomi people, upholding the principles of Truth, Justice, and Freedom. In the same spirit, we remember all who gave their today for our tomorrow.
ZPCC also extends heartfelt prayers and respect to the families, loved ones, wounded defenders, and all those who continue to endure hardship and loss because of the ongoing struggle in Zogam. Your sacrifices and resilience are deeply honored.
As a people, may we continue to pursue unity, justice, peace, dignity, and self-determination with wisdom, courage, and responsibility for future generations.
