TEDIM, ZOGAM — In a historic step forward for gender equality and national liberation, the Zomi Political Coordination Council (ZPCC) Executive Committee has officially ratified the Bylaws of the Zomi Women Volunteer Corps (ZWV Corps). The adoption, which took place on January 23, 2026, formally establishes the Corps as a global political and social mobilization arm under the ZPCC’s Department of Women Affairs.

Rooted in the landmark resolutions of the 2019 Zomi International Conference (ZIC2019KL), the newly ratified Bylaws aim to ensure that Zomi women stand shoulder-to-shoulder with men in shaping the political future of Zogam.

The ZWV Corps will operate globally with specific strategic objectives aligned with the Zogam Charter, including:

  • National Defense Support: Mobilizing financial and logistical aid—including food, clothing, and medical supplies—for Zogam defense forces securing the homeland.
  • Political Empowerment: Fostering collaboration, harmony, and political recognition for Zomi women worldwide.
  • Revolutionary Aid: Providing active support to the Myanmar Spring Revolution and backing the ZPCC’s mission to establish a Zogam Federated State and a Zomi Parliament (Zomi Innpi).

To spearhead this global initiative, the ZPCC has appointed an Interim Executive Committee to lead the ZWV Corps until full Board elections can be held. Pi Tawi Lun (USA) has been appointed as the Executive Director, supported by Pi Esther Lun (Malaysia) as Deputy Executive Director, and Pi Chingngaihdon (India) as Executive Secretary.

The ZWV Corps is now actively recruiting members from the Zomi homeland and the international diaspora across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. All Zomi women who support the Zogam Charter are encouraged to apply for membership and join the movement for a free and prosperous Zogam.
