The Zomi Political Coordination Council (ZPCC), together with the Zomi Revolutionary Army – Eastern Command (ZRA–EC), has issued an official statement reaffirming the exclusive authority of the Zomi people over Zogam.
The declaration strongly warns all external armed groups, organizations, and actors against:
-Unauthorized entry into Zogam
-Illegal taxation of Zomi communities
-Exploitation of land and natural resources
-Attempts to occupy Zomi territories
ZPCC emphasized that its mandate is grounded in the Zogam Charter, which guarantees the Zomi people’s right to self-determination, governance, and ownership of land and resources.
The Council further stated that any violation will be treated as an act against the Zomi nation and may be addressed through both defensive action and international accountability mechanisms.
Zogam belongs to the Zomi people — its governance, land, and future will be determined by its rightful indigenous owners.
