Zomi Women’s Volunteer Corps (ZWVC)

Zogam — March 8

On this International Women’s Day, the Zomi Political Coordination Council (ZPCC) proudly honors the courage, dignity, and enduring contributions of Zomi women across Zogam and throughout the global diaspora.

For generations, Zomi women have stood at the heart of our communities—as mothers, educators, leaders, peacebuilders, and guardians of our cultural heritage. Their strength has not only sustained families and villages but has also preserved the identity, language, and traditions of the Zomi people through times of hardship and transformation.

Today, ZPCC recognizes the vital role of women within our national life and highlights the growing contributions of the Zomi Women’s Volunteer Corps (ZWVC)—a dedicated body of women committed to service, leadership, and community development.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
— Proverbs 31:25

This verse captures the spirit of Zomi women—women who stand firm in faith, who endure hardship with courage, and who continue to inspire future generations.
